What is Sip n Sample?
Well first, let me explain my Mission. My Mission Impos-minnesota is…. To bring exposure and revenue to our Independently Owned Minnesota Restaurants. I was born and raised here and I enjoyed the potato pancakes from the diner up the street, or sweet Joe’s Ribs (who remembers sweet Joe?) or an evening of fine dining. Back them, Murray’s, and of course, Jax Cafe were the happening spots and still are today . At Jax Cafe, my twin sister and I would sit at a table working on a puzzle while my Mom chatted with her girlfriends about All My Children. Yeah well, Puzzles never interested me, but All My Children did. Anyhow, let’s get back to my Mission..
My Mission is to help preserve what alot of us grew up with. So, how do we do that? Well, it’s called Sip n Sample your Ultimate taste tour that brings you out to Sip n Sample chef selected menu items paired with wonderful wines. With Sip n Sample you will never drive by a restaurant and catch yourself saying “I have never eaten there. I wonder what they serve?” Join our tour and Sip n Sample their unique food, atmosphere and culture and then take your family back for repeat evenings of family dining.
What is Sip n Sample?
Sip n Sample is your ultimate sip and sampling tour. We visit Minnesota based chains or Independently Owned Restaurants all in an effort to support our communities and local economy. The events pair restaurants with adventurous patrons by inviting groups to Sip n Sample some of the finest food and wines over a casual happy hour.

What Time are the events?
All events are hosted conveniently between 5:30 & 7:30 pm and guests are encouraged to stay and enjoy the restaurant after the event ends.
Can I visit the Restaurant again?
Yes, the purpose of Sip n Sample is to bring awareness to our locally owned Restaurants and for an evening of Sip n Sample their menu and wines to encourage repeat visits. Our Independent Restaurants are the fabric of our communities and this tour is all about getting out and sampling their food and wines to visit them for a night of dining.
Where do I Buy Tickets?
You can purchase tickets online for $25.00. At the Door tickets purchases are $30.00
Why is the Door charge $30.00?
There is no question that Sip n Sample is the most popular event to hit the Twin Cities and we thank you for your support. We encourage online sales to keep accurate attendee numbers so all of us (Restaurants and Guests) have an enjoyable evening.
Where does the MONEY from my ticket purchase go?
We do more than give restaurants exposure. We pay the Restaurants for hosting the events, and in addition, we pay, radio, television, print and additional pre-print promotions for promoting the event. This is the only event that pays restaurants to participate.
Is this a Single’s event?
No, we welcome couples, as well as, singles.
Is this a Sit down event?
It’s a mingling atmosphere event. Each location is different and there is always a mix of standing and seating.
How do Restaurants participate?
Our events are geared around Atmosphere, Ambiance, Food and Menu selections (typically fine dining).

Historic Building & Minnesota Historic History
Restaurant with in a Historic Building are a part of Minnesota History by their location.
Minnesota History
We have several Restaurants that are not Minnesota based, but they have been a part of Minnesota History and our dining experiences for decades and we welcome them.
Award Winners?
We have many Restaurants in the Twin Cities that offer Award winning Foods, Beer, Ribs to Beer Battered Shrimp that typically are not considered fine dining, and we feel you should Sip n Sample those Restaurants as well.
